It was during her seven years there that Dr. Best met her husband, Dr. Thomas Talley.
Dr. Best and Dr. Talley lived in Orlando for 4 years while Dr. Talley completed his OB-GYN training. The couple then moved to Albany, where Dr. Talley joined his father, J. LeConte Talley, in his obstetrical practice. During the couple's first few years in Albany, Dr. Best was the dentist for the students at Turner Job Corps.

The Pierre Fauchard Academy is an honorary dental service organization that promotes the elevation of the standards and the practices of the art and science of dentistry worldwide. Dr. Best is presently serving on the combined Advisory Board for the Darton College Hygiene Program/Albany Tech Dental Assisting Program.
Dr. Best strives to keep abreast of current techniques and spends time away from the office pursuing continuing dental education. She has studied at the Dawson Center for Advance Dental Studies and takes her staff annually to the Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta in addition to attending courses locally.
